Make your own play dough

Ingredients:

200g (2 cups) of plain flour
300ml (2 cups) of water
100g (1 cup) salt
1 tbsp of cooking oil
A few drops of food colouring (optional)
3 tsp of cream of tartar

Method:
  • Add ingredients to bowl
  • Whisk to a smooth consistency
  • Pour into a saucepan and place on a low heat
  • Stir continuously for 3 - 4 minutes until stiff
  • Remove from heat and continue to stir until a ball forms
  • Turn out onto a board and allow to cool
  • Knead
Store play dough in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Warning: As with all cooking activities, adult supervision is necessary.
